His first jobs this New Orleans boy took in Bourbon street saloons at the age of 14, playing the piano as well as cleaning the glasses. As popular music became a blend of "pops,blues and spirituals", Joe formed his own group and went to tour. Educated in a Baptist family by a church piano playing mother, soul music is basicly his music, today he holds promise of being a great soul act."
